Katzrin

The beautiful, green modern- day city of Katzrin, founded in 1977 is located in the Golan Heights.  It is the second largest community in the Golan.

Kessem Hagolan– A fun panoramic video, located at a tourist center nearby Kaztrin shows you beautiful views of the area- from the comfort of a theater

Ancient Katzrin Park– Katzrin is an ancient Jewish farming village, built around a spring-that continues to flow today. In 1967 an ancient synagogue was discovered and excavation took place until 1984. The synagogue was built in 6th century CE on top of an earlier synagogue. It is thought that the synagogue was destroyed in an earthquake in 749. Starting in 1983 more sites were excavated, and some were restored and furnished with replicas of ancient household goods. There is also an ancient wine press on site.

Golan Heights Winery– Located in Katzrin- have a tour of the winery, and do a fun wine tasting! Book a tour in advance.
