Rosary Sisters

The guest house began offering accommodations to visitors in 1960 and now offers a total of 27 guest rooms comprised of singles, doubles and triples and quads. While plainly decorated, each room offers clean and comfortable accommodations and is equipped with a private bath. A beautiful church, built in 1937, is situated on site and is available for private mass, upon arrangement. Other amenities include ample on site parking, a restaurant as well as common kitchen facilities. Although the facility has no air conditioning, the generally cool summer nights in Jerusalem provide for comfortable accommodation most days of the summer. The Rosary Sisters are dedicated to the education of young Arab Girls as well as to doing pastoral and social work and caring for the sick. The Sisters offer a very clean and quiet lodging home and ask that all guests be respectful of the 10:30 pm closure of the premises.

Background Information

Located within a a 10 minutes walk from the Old City, the guest house is within easy walking distance of many of the city’s historic attractions as well as its popular nightlife district found on Ben Yehuda streets and Shlomzion, three blocks away. The large Ottomon style compound is situated behind a secure gated entrance and offers a lovely outdoor courtyard for relaxation.

Location

The Rosary Sisters Guesthouse is home to the Rosary Congregation, and was founded in Jerusalem in 1892. The historic guest house is ideally located adjacent to the American Embassy and across the street from Independence Park in the heart of downtown Jerusalem.
