Description of Pilgerhaus
Pilgerhaus is owned by the German Association of the Holy Land, based in Cologne. Its primary mission is to accommodate German pilgrims, tourists, and other associates and donors to assist in fundraising and servicing their specific interests. However, the guest house is open to the public and welcomes guests of all faiths. Guests residing at the Pilgerhaus enjoy access to an on site spiritual center and are within walking distance of Tabgha, a major Catholic pilgrimage site where Jesus’ miracle of the multiplication of the fishes occurred. Guest rooms are plain but comfortably equipped with twin beds small refrigerators and in room safes.

Background
The 68 unit Pilgerhaus is one of the newest and nicest guest houses in the country. It enjoys a lovely secluded setting along the northern shores of the Sea of Galilee adjacent to Tabgha. The guest house is the perfect location for guests seeking relaxation. A 120 dunam bamboo plantation, the largest in the country, ais adjacent to the property and provides ample room and comfortable benches outdoors for meditative and relaxing pleasures.
