Description of Nes Ammim
Nes Ammim is an International Village. The three star, country-style European guest house is surrounded by botanical gardens and houses an on site museum dedicated to the memory of the holocaust. The lush surroundings and tranquil atmosphere promote a unique culture of understanding and tolerance which is one of the main reasons that this guest houses has become a popular venue for conflict resolution seminars and peace initiatives. Housed on Nes Ammim is the Center for Meeting and Dialogue which attacts numerous conferences and groups throughout the year. Location of Nes Ammim
New Ammim is situated in the Western Galilee region approximately 8km north of Akko and 6 km east of the Mediterranean Sea. New Ammim can be easily reached by bus transportation but a private vehicle is highly recommended for those not arriving on group tours.
Background on Nes Ammim
The kibbutz was created in the 1960’s as in International Christian settlement and ecumenical village and is populated by volunteers from Europe. The settlement is founded on the concept of dialogue and reconciliation between Christians and Jews and is an interreligious meeting place for groups from all over the world.
