Travelujah / Explore / Kfar Kedem - Galilee

Kfar Kedem is the re-creation of an ancient Galilean village that provides visitors with the opportunity to experience life in biblical Israel. Visitors can enjoy numerous hands on experiences such as becoming a shepherd, grinding flour, baking bread in an original taboun, plow the felds, making cheese, milking goats, and feasting within the shepard's tent.

"And when ye reap the harvest of your land, though shall not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt though gather the gleaning of thy harvest. And though shalt not glean thy vinyard; Though shalt leave them for the poor and the stranger." Leviticus 19:19

Children and adults, young and old love to participate in the various activities available at Kfar Kedem. Guests can enjoy a few activities as well as tea in he Bedouin tent or  an entire program with complete with a full biblical feast. Reservations in advance are recommended and Travelujah can arrange programs for small and large groups alike.

The village is located adjacent to Kibbutz Hoshaya in the Galilean hills, approximately 20 minutes from Tzippori (Sepphoris). The village was developed following strict halachic rules and is completely kosher and closed on Shabbat. Situated approximately 20 minutes from Nazareth, the attraction is a wonderful add on for a day of touring in the Galilee and is easily included and recommended in itineraries where participants are eager to learn more about life in biblical times.
