Jesus' parable of the Good Samaritan has for centuries been connected to the Inn of the Good Samaritan situated on the road between Jerusalem and Jericho in the Judean Desert. Visitors get a deeper understanding of the message of the parable while first hand experiencing the desert road travellers had to walk in ancient times, with the risks it involved.
