Monday - September 15th, 2014:  Jericho


            Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport where you will be met and taken to Jericho, one of the world's oldest cities. Visit Tel Jericho, the site of the first victory of the Israelites in the Land of Canaan. (Joshua 6).Hublot Replica Watches Proceed to Qarantal, the Mount of Temptation. It is here that Jesus went into the wilderness and fasted for 40 days following His baptism and was tempted by Satan, as described in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke.  Welcoming festive oriental dinner.  Overnight in Jericho.


Tuesday - September 16th, 2014:  Jordan Valley and Dead Sea


          Begin the day by exploring the Judean desert and its landscape, and where according to tradition the prophet Elijah was fed by ravens. See Wadi Qelt and explore the St. Georges Monastery, an unusual 5th century monastery built by an Egyptian monk, and re-built in the 19th century. The Prat stream runs through the deep canyon and parts of the ancient aqueduct that were built to bring its waters to Herod's Palace in the town of Jericho, still remain today. We will then visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found and where a community of Essenes lived. It is also possible that John the Baptist spent some time with the community here. Drive along the shore of the Dead Sea and have a swim in its salty waters. Continue for a visit to the Place of Baptism (Qasr al Yehud) along the Jordan River, where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:13-17) End the day with a visit St. Gerasimus and meet the Priest at Deit Hajla monastery who will introduce you to the art of laying mosaics and iconography.  Overnight in Jericho.


Wednesday - September 17th, 2014:   Jordan Valley - to Samaria


           Today we will begin our day visiting only Christian village in the Palestinian Territories, Taybeh and meet the Priest and enjoy fellowship with the local community. Continue to Nablus were we will visit Jacob's Well and the Old city of Nablus, walking through the ancient market and having lunch at a unique setting organized by a local women's center.    After lunch in Nablus, continue in the afternoon to visit Sebastya, one of the ancient palaces of King Herod. Overnight Haddad Village, Jenin.


Thursday - September 18th, 2014: Samaria - Nazareth


          Begin the day with a visit to Burqin. See the Church of St. George, where Jesus healed the 10 lepers. Continue to the Canaan Olive oil Factory to taste the oils and learn about the successful fair trade cooperative.  Continue to Nazareth passing the Jalameh Checkpoint.  Lunch in Nazareth at a Guesthouse where you will be met by the sister in charge and her staff who will tell the story of the guesthouse. In the afternoon visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and view the Cave where the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary (Luke 1: 26-37). Tour the Old City and see Mary's Well and the ancient synagogue.  End the day at the Mary's of Nazareth Center. Overnight in Galilee.


Friday - September 19th, 2014: Sea of Galilee


          After breakfast visit Bethsaida, the birthplace of the Apostles Peter, Andrew and Philip. Jesus himself visited Bethsaida and performed several miracles there. (Mark 8:22-26; Luke 9:10), later visit with the seminarians at Domus Galilee near Korazim who will join you on a boat-ride across the Sea of Galilee where Jesus walked on the water (Matthew 14:22-23). On reaching Capernaum, visit the ruins of this village, often called the hometown of Jesus, with its synagogue church marking the home of Peter, and dwellings from the time of Jesus.  Next, stop at the nearby Chapel of the Primacy of Peter, where Jesus appeared to the Apostles after the resurrection. Nearby is the site of the miracle of the loaves and fishes at Tabgha, with its famed mosaic depicting the two fishes and the five loaves Jesus multiplied. Lunch at a restaurant nearby for a taste of the famous St. Peter's Fish.  End the day with Hl. Mass at Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea of Galilee where Jesus gave His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7 and Luke 6). Overnight in Galilee.


Saturday - September 20th, 2014: Nazareth and the Coast to Jerusalem


         After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to Cana where often marriage vow renewals take place. Drive to Megiddo, the Armageddon of Revelations. Tour the remains of  one of the most intensively inhabited sites in the country with over 25 levels of settlement, spanning some 3,000 years, including walls, gates, palaces and dwellings from the time of King Solomon, King Ahab and the Assyrians. A highlight will be your walk through the water system, one of the great engineering marvels of antiquity. Then continue to Mt. Carmel and see the Muhraka. Experience the Druze Hospitality for Lunch. Continue to the Coastal region to visit Caesarea, the site built by King Herod in honor of his patron Emperor Augustus in the mid-first century BCE, and Pontius Pilate ruled the country from here.  It was from this port that Paul set sail to preach in communities all over the Mediterranean, where he was later imprisoned for two years and appeared before Felix, Festus and King Agrippa. Continue to Jerusalem. Overnight in  Jerusalem.


Sunday - September 21st, 2014: Jerusalem - Mt. Zion - Jewish Quarter - Israel Museum


          After breakfast enter the Old City through the Dung gate and visit the southern Steps, where Jesus stood. Continue to the Western Wall, the holiest site for the Jewish people and view the Haram el-Shareef where we can see the Dome of the Rock and El-Aqsa Mosque. Continue to Mt. Zion where we will visit the House of the high priest Caiphas, and the room of the Last supper. Visit the excavations at the City of David.  Enjoy an unique Biblical Meal for lunch at Mt. Zion. In the afternoon visit the Israel Museum home to the most important archaeological discovery of the 20th century - the Dead Sea Scrolls. An impressive model of Jerusalem in 69 CE sets the stage before entering the special shrine that contains the Scrolls. An evening of learning with a rabbinical scholar over dinner.  Overnight in  Jerusalem.


Monday - September 22nd, 2014:  Jerusalem - Mt. of Olives - Old City


            Welcome the day with one of the most magnificent views in the world: ancient Jerusalem as seen from the top of the Mount of Olives. Take the "Palm Sunday Walk" down the Mount of Olives in the footsteps of Jesus. On the way, stop at Dominus Flevit Church, marking the site of Jesus' weeping over the city. At the Garden of Gethsemane at the base of the mountain, you can spend time pondering and praying about the time Jesus spent here with his disciples before his arrest. Enter the Old City via Lion's Gate, also known as St. Stephen's Gate to the Pools of Bethesda, where Jesus healed a paralytic. Continue along the Via Dolorosa, the Way of Sorrows, which tradition says Jesus went with the cross to Calvary. Lunch in the Old City along the Via Dolorosa, which passes through the colorful Old City markets to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre the traditional site of the crucifixion of Jesus. In the afternoon continue to the Armenian Quarter to visit the Church of St. James and enjoy fellowship and afternoon hospitality with the Armenian community. Rest of the afternoon at leisure.   Overnight in  Jerusalem.


Tuesday - September 23rd, 2014: Jerusalem - Yad Vashem - Ein Karem - Bethlehem


            Begin the day with a tour at Yad Vashem. Continue to visit Ein Karem with the Church of John the Baptist. Meet with the sisters and learn about the Chemin Neuf at the Sisters of Zion Monastery. Continue to Bethlehem and enjoy a traditional Lunch in Bethlehem with one of the local communities and learn about their traditions and culture.  Visit the Church of the Nativity (Luke 2: 1-7), the birthplace of Jesus and stroll along Manger Square then continue to Bet Sahour and visit the Shepherd's Fields. Time at leisure for shopping in Beit Sahour. Oriental farewell dinner with a folkloric presentation.  Overnight in  Jerusalem.


Wednesday - September 24th, 2014: Departure

                Transfer to the airport.
