Local Organic Foods

As we give more thought to the foods we eat - how healthy they are and the impact they have on the environment, come spend a day learning about, and tasting locally grown, organic foods.   The tour will begin at an organic olive farm and press where we will hear about the production of olives and olive oil - then enjoy tasting them together with fresh pita that we will prepare and bake outdoors in the "tabun".  We will continue to Kibbutz Harduf and tour their organic dairy - visit the calves and taste a sample of Harduf's organic baked goods and dairy products - then visit the fields and learn about biodynamic agricultural methods.  We will finish the day with an expansive vegetarian lunch at the Harduf Organic Restaurant.

The tour is being given by Culinary Tours of the Galilee and it will take place on Sunday, April 26th - Meeting point at the entrance to Moshav Tsippori (directions will be provided) at 10:00 AM and finish at around 4:00 PM.  Price per person is 250 NIS (150 NIS for children up to age 8), which covers the tour and food.  A minimum of 10 adults is required for the tour to take place.  Deadline for registration, with a 100 NIS deposit, is April 19th.
