Description:
The third of the seven annual Biblical Jewish Pilgrimage Festivals, the Feast of Tabernacles leads up to 30,000 people from Israel and abroad, through Jerusalem's major holy sites. The celebrations begin in early morning and ends with a grand parade at dusk.
The festival is also know at sukkot and worth the trip. It holds both agricultural and religious connotations as Jews dwell in homemade booths, the "Sukkot", for these seven days in memory of the Israelites' dwelling in the wilderness after the Exodus from Egypt.
