Founded in 1983 by Lea Van, the Jerusalem Film Festival is one of the most perstigious cinematic event.
All international talent showcasted. At the end of the Festival, prizes are awarded in 4 categories, the latest a special prize: Best Israeli Feature Film, Best Israeli Documentary, Best Israeli Short Subject, and the Lipper Foundation Award for Best Israeli Screenplay.
International prizes include the Wim van Leer In Spirit of Freedom award for feature films and documentaries relating to human rights issues, and the Mediterranean Cinematic Manifestations (MCM) In Pursuit of Peace & Tolerance for Mediterranean Cinema.
