Philippine Tourism Minister Visits Israel

The Philippine Tourism Minister, Mr. Joseph H. Durano, is currently visiting Israel on his first ever visit in an effort to strengthen tourism ties between Israel and the Pilippines as well as to learn more about Israel's growing rural tourism industry and how that might apply to areas in the Philippines. About 90 million people, mostly Christians, live in the Philippines, last year approximately 8,000 tourists visited Israel last year from the Philippines.
