We left Jerusalemtraveling due east and went down to the lowest place on earth - the Dead Sea, but before we went into the saltiest water on earth we first went up to see the mountain of Masada and learn about the heroic stand taken by a small group of Jews facing the mighty Roman army. Only then we headed towards Ein Gedi's spa to bath in the dead sea and take one of our best flag photos!

After the busy itinerary we had, relaxing in the Dead Sea wasn't enough so we drove to Moshav Tzofar to rest in a Bedouin camp and enjoy a fancy traditional Bedouin dinner. That night was different from all other nights as we slept under the stars in sleeping bags and had the sun waking us up early in the morning.

We then headed towards the southern tip of Israel - E
Being a native Israeli I must admit Jerusalem was never my cup of tea, too many uphills and downhills, bad traffic and mess. So my personal plan for Jerusalem was basically – let’s try to get over with it without any severe mental damage ;-)

Arriving to Jerusalem for the first time as a tourist was a totally different experience. It started with the fact that we had Yael, our amazing guide, with us to show us the way and tell us the stories of each Synagogue, Church and oasque, continued with the fascinating tour of the city of David, the underground water tunnels and all the holy places. Yael even took us to eat to one of the best Humus places in the old city for lunch and took us for a spectacular night tour- a totally different way for me to experience Jerusalem.
Another fun aspect of the Jerusalem experience was the food, aside from the superb Humus we ate at some good restaurants I would have never think of trying if I was on my own, like the Austrian hostel where we had a mouth wateri
So our story begins in Michigan, why Michigan? Because there was only one thing in common for all the people who visited Israel on this trek, they were all Michigan MBAs who decided that Israel is a perfect place to start their MBA experience at and joined this bonding trip known as Mtrek.
Our first few days took us to the northern part of Israel; after spending a night in Hertzeliya, along the Mediterranean beach, we traveled to the spiritual city of Safed and explored its narrow allies and special atmosphere, we then drove to the Sea of Galilee and visited Tabgha and Capernaum. To cool down, we went to kayak at the Jordan River where we found ourselves engaged in endless water-fights and experienced some superb kayak boarding and flipping techniques.

The following day was dedicated to the beautiful area of the Golan Heights; we traveled to Mount Bental , one of the tallest mountains in the Golan and had the opportunity to see the Golan from above and take a look at the Syrian border. After filling our stomachs with a special Druze lunch at Nidal’s in the village of Masa’de we headed to the Yehudiya trek where we jumped into the cool water of the Yehudiya stream and spent a couple of hours chillin
