Enjoy Israel Wine Festivals heat up this Summer

The Israeli wine industry has grown exponentially over the last several years and visitors from abroad are invited to participate in any number of special wine festivals that are planned for this summer. To help you plan your visit, Travelujah's wine authority, David Rhodes,  has put together a list of the top summer wine festivals. L'chaim!

White Red Nights Festival 2012
When: June 4th-7th, 2012
Gates opening: 19:00 PM.

Cost: 99 shekel. Ticket includes unlimited wine tastings through the various compounds.
Where: Tickets could be purchased at the Museum box offices or at "Leaan" Box Offices: www.leaan.co.il *8780.

This is an international festival, focusing on wine, music and cuisine.
The Eretz Israel Museum in Tel-Aviv complex will be divided into seven different compounds according to world regions:
Italy compound; Spain compound; Israel compound; Chile-Argentine compound; France compound; New World compound that includes the USA, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand; and the Sweet Nights compound.

Each compound will offer a huge variety of wines, food stands and artistic attractions and  a comprehensive cultural experience of culinary, wine and music. Wineries slated to appear: Dalton Winery, Pelter Winery, Golan Heights Winery, Luria Winery, Tulip Winery, Amphora Winery, Arza Winery, Tabor Winery, Kadesh Barnea Winery, Tzuba Winery, Mony Winery, Ella Valley Winery, Tanya Winery, Shilo Winery and many other Israeli wineries; local cider brewery - Besters, Frescobaldi Winery, Sartori Winery, Sito, Antinori Winery, Torres Winery, Codorniu Winery, Marqués de Cáceres Winery, Chapoutier Winery, Drouhin Winery, Trapiche Winery, Santa Carolina Winery, Undurraga Winery, Bianchi Winery (Vino Latino), Concha y Toro Winery, Malbec wine stand, Astrolabe Winery, Wolf Blass - Australia, Sito - New Zealand, Nederburg Winery, Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, Glen Ellen Winery, Fisheye Winery, Allegrini Winery, Prunotto Winery, Pfaffenheim Winery, Faiveley Winery, Rothschild Winery, and many other wineries, including wine import companies, such as The Kerem Company, The Scottish Company, Enoteca, Mersch, Sito, Vino Latino and many more.

Castel Reception Invitation Only

18 custom labels by 13 renown Israeli artists shown with the original art at the Tavi Gallery in the Neve Tzedek neighborhood of Tel Aviv
space is limited but remaining invitations are available by contacting

The event and auction will honor and benefit
The Threefold Chord, a charity which cares for at risk youth in Jerusalem

Castel Gallery Special Showing

When: June 7th to 13th, 10 am to 7PM


Castel Auction

When:  June 24th
Open  to international bidders
All proceeds go to the charity and therefore are totally deductable

When June 27th & 28th
Time:  630PM to 1130 PM 
Cost: 60 NIS
Where: Park Ra'anana

: This is one of Israel's more affordable festivals still has more wine than you can probably try in one night

Jerusalem WIne Festival - Israel's largest wine festival
When: July 30th to August 2nd
Time: 7PM to Midnight (gates close at 1130PM)
Cost: 80 NIS at the Israel Museum in the Sculpture Gardens

Travelujah Tip: Get there early in the evening and try to avoid opening night!
